With chronic pain we often feel weak.
Thinking we need to get stronger to get out of pain.
For many with chronic pain you will be surprised to know that they are not actually weak. They often have normal strength in their body.
So where does this feeling of weak come from?
It is the exhaustion from the constant pain, feeling limited in what we can do, and trying to conserve energy that is the source of feeling weak.
It is the disengaging from life that is the source of weakness.
To no longer feel weak, we must re-learn how to fully engage in life while feeling safe we will not hurt ourselves. To do things that help us feel our aliveness and our joyousness.

When we have been in pain for a long time or when we have had a trauma in our life, it is very hard not to be overtaken with fear. Truly we don’t know if we are going to make it.
Our survival instinct kicks in. Getting off the survival/fear response can be difficult. The neuro-immune pattern developed helps maintain it. It almost becomes choice less. We must take back that choice. We must start to interrupt that pattern. We must make a new pattern, one that deeply lets our being know we are safe and unconditionally loved. You have an infinite amount of creativity.
Whenever you want you can access this unlimited creativity.
Just sit down or stand… something will always be created if you give it space. Wait, listen, watch. Your being will have an urge to follow what it sees and feels to create. Perhaps you see a movement, let your body move. Perhaps you hear a thought, let your being write. Or perhaps you feel a feeling, let your being express through whatever medium is in alignment with you.
Watch the magic of the universe create. It is there for you. You can trust it will always be there. Even silence or nothing is a form of creation. Hold that spaciousness and watch how the infiniteness of creativity flows through you.

When you allow yourself to be seen, to share your unique, beautiful, and true note; it is a gift to the world. It is inspiring to others to see how you move through this world. It helps connect us to our humanity and light.
It gives others to the opportunity to embrace your beautiful note with love and support. Imagine what it would feel like to be seen with unconditional love. And to know others were benefiting greatly just by you sharing your authentic note. Your expression of your love.
Let your being sit with this and see how it responds. See if its light gets a bit brighter and its willingness to share begins to shift to openness and expansiveness.

Everyday look for the things that remind you of joy, love and peace. Everyday be around the people, places, and activities that remind you of these beautiful qualities.
Even just taking time to imagine those incredible people and places will help you remember your joy, love and peace.
Give yourself that space and time to remember. Dedicate your life to this. Let your being know that you will always make time for this. See how your being responds to this dedication. See if it brings the goodness and tenderheartedness of your being back.

Being in the sunshine, seeing the blue sky, and walking in the Fall colours brought so much joy into my day. So wonderful to see people walking and biking on Toronto’s Beltline.
Let these be reminders of the quality of Joy within you.
Remember, they are not the source of your joy. You do not need them to feel joy. But what a beautiful reminder they are. How lucky we are to be able to experience them. For them to help us remember the quality of joy. Thank you sunshine, thank you blue sky, thank you Fall colours, and thank you lovely people walking with me.
Let this energy of joy remain with me as the sun sets tonight and with you.

The most heart breaking thing you can do is to withdraw your love from this moment. To be out of your love. Don’t let anything take you out of your love… it will try. Not pain, not a person, not a situation.
Remember, in the end only you can take yourself out of your love. No one else does this to you. Their is no blame or judgment if you do this. Just know you are that source of love. You can return yourself back to your love.
