Dedication and Peace

“Feeling peace, steadiness, and love grow; strengthens my dedication to this practice.”

I get so excited and proud of my students when I hear the conviction in their voice for this life-giving practice. To see their sovereignty, joy, and clarity deepen is beautiful to witness.

To step out of the fear, pain, and frustration of surviving life; and to transform into leading their life with clarity and compassion.

I dedicate my life to sharing this practice with all interested in participating; and to creating presence based community so we may walk side-by-side on this journey.

To work with me, email me at rachel@alignphysicalrehab.com. Together we will start this mindfulness journey.

How do I help?

In each moment, pause and ask yourself: How can I help?

With no intention to fix, change, or figure something out; but to listen.

Take a moment to pause now, with a steady and compassionate gaze, ask yourself: How can I help?

All that you have to do is wait, to listen.

See how each moment is transformed when this is our intention.

Feel the deep listening that occurs, the resting into awareness. […]

What the practice asks of you

Out of the greatest love, presence based practice will always ask more of you.

Not because you are not doing enough.

But because it can see your greatest potential and it will ask you to rise to meet this. Each and every time.

As your teacher, with much love, I will ask more and more from you. As I know what is within you, waiting… the greatest love, peace and strength you could imagine. It is here.

It’s time to rise up and realize this.

Come now, it’s time to practice

May we see that love is waiting for us.

When we practice, our being is waiting to return to love.

When we practice together, our being is ready to be in the love waiting for us.

“What would love have me do today?”

A beautiful question by Jack Kornfield.

To pause and ask this question, to open space for love to lead you, brings such beauty to one’s life.

Take time each day to ask yourself: “What would love have me do today?”

And just wait, see what comes to you. Your heart will know.

Feeling Weak?

With chronic pain we often feel weak.

Thinking we need to get stronger to get out of pain.

For many with chronic pain you will be surprised to know that they are not actually weak. They often have normal strength in their body.

So where does this feeling of weak come from?

It is the exhaustion from the constant pain, feeling limited in what we can do, and trying to conserve energy that is the source of feeling weak.

It is the disengaging from life that is the source of weakness.

To no longer feel weak, we must re-learn how to fully engage in life while feeling safe we will not hurt ourselves. To do things that help us feel our aliveness and our joyousness.
